Connecticut-based full service tree company wanted to migrate their existing web site to WordPress and have search engine optimization performed.

  • Migrate existing page content to WordPress from older, custom CMS

Challenge:
The old web site was build using a dated, custom CMS that made it hard to add new pages and content. We needed to retain the existing site structure and existing SEO efforts when building the new site.

Solution:
We build a new responsive design using WordPress and set up the same pages as the old site. We improved the site navigation by adding new service pages and optimizing existing content for local SEO. The site was image heavy which was impacting page load times. We were able to optimize the pages and images reducing total page size from 3.7MB to under 300kb and server requests from 42 to 2. As a result of the SEO efforts, the number of keywords ranking doubled in three months.
